We are pleased to announce that our Women's Winter Retreat will resume in 2025 on the weekend of Jan. 24-26 at Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont. Father Thomas A. Sparacino from the Diocese of Pittsburgh will be our director and he has chosen the theme, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me." Father Tom has been a priest of the Pittsburgh Diocese since 1998. Since then, he has served as a parochial vicar, co-vocation director, and most recently as rector of St. Paul College Seminary and director of pre-ordination formation. If he could pinpoint a charism of the priesthood that he lives, he said it would be "joy at the foot of the cross," for there, with Mother Mary is experienced the fullness of joy in faith, hope in mercy, and the ultimate love and grace that abounds in Jesus Christ. Father Tom lives to answer Christ's call to "feed my sheep." With St. Joseph as a role model and the witnesses of his father, two brothers, and an uncle, he strives to be a "spiritual dad" to all God's children. He has been a spiritual advisor to the Magnificat Pittsburgh Magnificat chapter since 2010.
